Release date July 19, 2001
Pokémon VS (Japanese: ポケモンカード★VS Pokémon Card★VS) is the only main expansion of cards from the VS Era of the Pokémon Card Game in Japan. It does not have a main expansion as an English equivalent.

Information

Pokémon Card★VS is the only expansion in the Pokémon Card Game VS Era. It was released on July 19, 2001.

Pokémon Card★VS introduced the classification of Special Conditions, which saved the need to reference a number of them in attack or Pokémon Power. Burned was also added as a Special Condition. It also introduced Technical Machine cards, which allow the Pokémon they are attached to use an attack as specified on the card (a reference to the TM in the core series games).

Pokémon Card★VS was also the first Japanese expansion to utilize a numbering system. The Pokémon were ordered by the sequence in which players encounter the Gym Leaders in Pokémon Gold, Silver, and Crystal Versions, then followed by the sequence in which players battle the Johto Elite Four, then Team Rocket, and the Champion.

Pokémon Card★VS also introduced an updated card design, which included numerous changes. Firstly, the left and bottom borders have been increased in size. The artwork window is rounded on the left. The Pokémon's species, height and weight were moved to the left, next to its Trainer's headshot. It lacked the Pokédex entry and the Weakness and Resistance was moved to the right, with the Retreat Cost on the left. The illustrator was moved to the center on the bottom of the card. The set symbol was located on the bottom left of the card. Lastly, the back of the card was changed from the "Pocket Monsters Card Game" to the "Pokémon" design used in international prints.

This was the first Japanese expansion to include Secret cards and the first to release 1st Edition prints.

Each booster pack contained 30 cards instead of the usual 10; 12 Pokémon (11 Non Holo and 1 Holo), 4 Trainer cards, 2 Technical Machine, 11 Basic Energy cards, and 1 Holo Special Energy card. Each booster pack cost ¥690 instead of ¥300.

A Psychic/Fighting booster pack contained a Holofoil Pokémon, a Holofoil Special Energy, 6 Fighting Energy, 5 Psychic Energy, 4 Fighting-type Pokémon, 4 Psychic-type Pokémon, 3 Colorless-type Pokémon, 4 Trainer cards, and 2 Technical Machine.

A Water/Fire booster pack contained a Holofoil Pokémon, a Holofoil Special Energy, 6 Water Energy, 5 Fire Energy, 5 Water-type Pokémon, 3 Fire-type Pokémon, 3 Colorless-type Pokémon, 4 Trainer cards, and 2 Technical Machine.

A Grass/Lightning booster pack contained a Holofoil Pokémon, a Holofoil Special Energy, 6 Grass Energy, 5 Lightning Energy, 5 Grass-type Pokémon, 3 Lightning-type Pokémon, 3 Colorless-type Pokémon, 4 Trainer cards, and 2 Technical Machine.

There were three random Half Decks released; Fighting & Psychic, Water & Fire, and Grass & Lightning. Each Half Deck contained a random assortment of Pokémon that were exclusive to its type and Colorless-type Pokémon.

Except for Brock, each Owner's cards were illustrated by the same artist; Atsuko Nishida (Falkner), Kyoko Umemoto (Bugsy), Miki Tanaka (Whitney), Naoyo Kimura (Morty), Yukiko Baba (Jasmine), Masako Yamashita (Chuck), Mitsuhiro Arita (Pryce), Shin-ichi Yoshida (Clair), Etsuya Hattori (Lt. Surge), Asuka Iwashita (Sabrina), Satoshi Ohta (Misty), Motofumi Fujiwara (Erika), Tomokazu Komiya (Janine), Kimiya Masago (Blaine), Kagemaru Himeno (Will), Toshinao Aoki (Koga), Yuka Morii (Bruno), Hajime Kusajima (Karen), Hironobu Yoshida (Rocket), and Aya Kusube (Lance). "Big Mama" Tagawa illustrated all of the Technical Machine Trainer cards.

A complete gym in your pocket.
Color: Assorted
Simple but effective. I'm able to pack these into almost anywhere and use them as a mini gym wherever I go. With a little creativity, they can be used to add resistance to almost any exercise. I use them for stretches, face pulls, bicep curls, and even with squats. 5 different resistance levels means you can mix and match to find the perfect resistance for whatever you're doing. I've had mine a couple of months now and have noticed no difference in elasticity or resistance, and I use them almost every day. Would definitely recommend as a portable resistance device and would definitely buy again.

A lot of comfort for a very inexpensive price
Style: 18", Color: Grey, Size: Twin
We needed a spare mattress, but didn’t want to have a dedicated spare bedroom but wanted a comfortable bed. Couldn’t afford these high priced mattresses these days like the air beds or luxury coil spring with gel which are thousands of dollars. Miss air mattresses, very comfortable and adorable and I like the flocked top on it. And it has the self inflatable pump which is very easy and inconvenient. This makes a very inexpensive alternative. Even if it only lasts 6 months or so you can buy a whole lot of these for a lot less money than thousands of dollars for the other beds. In tax is a wonderful brand. I’ve bought it many times. Their vinyl material is very thick and durable. Intex makes flotation devices, blowup rafts, beach floaties, Kayaks, etc. They have an excellent product & know what they’re doing.

Very good
Style: 18", Color: Grey, Size: Queen
I recently purchased this inflatable mattress from Amazon, and I’m honestly very impressed with the quality and comfort. It inflated quickly and was very easy to set up. The material feels durable and strong, and the mattress stayed fully inflated throughout the entire night without losing a

Skeptical at first, but after first use (so far) it’s a solid product
Style: 22", Color: Grey, Size: Queen
I initially bought this to stay at my MIL’s senior community (to help her get settled), so I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on it and I planned to leave it for other relatives that might want to visit. I expected it to be cheap-ish quality and probably not last through my two week stay. First off, set up was a breeze. I laid it out and started inflation and it took about 4-5 minutes to fully inflate. The motor made noise, but it’s to be expected from something like this—I can say that it wasn’t as noisy as our Costco-bought mattress. Second, it’s big—but that’s not a bad thing as much as I thought anyway after I saw it fully inflated. Turns out, for me, it’s a good thing. Our Costco mattress sits low to the floor and as it deflates a bit during the night, it’s tough to get up. This one (the 22” model and the largest one at this writing) is wonderful as I can sit on the edge of it and stand up easily. Your experience may be different, but for older folks it makes it really easy to get out of bed in the morning. How does it sleep? Well, since I was visiting by myself and my significant other wasn’t with me, I can only speak for a single sleeper. It was really comfortable! It did take a bit of tweaking though as I thought I would like it more firm as I like to side sleep. The first couple of nights were a bit rough as I tossed and turned a bit in my sleep—I found that I couldn’t get comfortable on my side. For the reviews that say that it deflates after sleeping on it, I can say that it did seem to lose some air after the first two nights. The manufacturer does state that it does “stretch” and not deflate. As I wanted to test that statement, I didn’t change the firmness of it by re-inflating it to where I had it. The third and fourth nights were better sleep and I didn’t feel like the mattress deflated at all, so I found the stretch statement to be valid—it wasn’t losing air. After that night, I re-inflated it to where I thought I’d like it. The next night was the same tossing and turning that I had those first two nights, so I concluded that I needed to make it less firm and I actually DEflated it a bit and for the rest of the stay it was perfect! I didn’t have to touch it and I even unplugged it. When I was getting ready to leave, I started the deflation process by turning the dial in the opposite direction. It took longer to deflate, so I walked away for a bit—I’d guess about 7-8 minutes. When I came back the mattress was flat as a pancake and ready to fold. This is the only hassle of the process as folding it to get it into the storage bag and back into the box (for storage). I do like the tote that they provide as the handles make it easy to lug about. So, the first use was a success. If repeated uses reveal issues, I’ll report back. I will say that I plan to buy another one to replace our beloved Costco air mattress—she’s showing her age and the height of this one as well as the cost make it a no-brainer to get it as a second. We’ll use this one until it dies (if it even does) and then fall back on our old one if needed. I gave an overall 5 stars for the product with 4 stars for sleep quality and comfort only because your idea of these two might be a bit of a learning experience until you find your inflation sweet spot—so it’s not just an “inflate fully and use” type of scenario.

Leaking mattress 2nd use, Good Warranty Help, Bag not durable
Style: 22", Color: Grey, Size: Queen
UPDATE: first time I slept alone, all was good. Our second week to use, we were past the warranty. Tried to sleep on it with two people and it's deflating. I don't believe it's the weight because it deflates when no one is using it as well. Contacted company, they are very helpful, and I believe you're speaking to someone in the US. You can remove the pump and there's a gasket that you can try to snug up. That did not help so they are shipping a new mattress to me. Removed star because bag already had hole at seam when delivered, and it's not durable. I'll contact the company and update. The bag isn't looking durable. Mattress does seem very durable. Blows up and deflates as expected. It does have a plastically smell when you first inflate, and again when I deflated. I can't complain, it's plastic lol. If smells bother you, just inflate ahead of time in another space. Deflating smell was stronger of two. Again, just deflate in another ventilated space. The mattress didn't continue to smell with use. Make sure you have deep pocket sheets. There is no indent for the bottom of the elastic to go around. I only had to fix them once in 8 nights. I slept alone, so I can't say how it would be with two. I'll update when we sleep on our with two people. But I found it very firm and comfortable. I've been having some back & neck pain. It didn't cause any problems. Might have to add some air 2nd night as the mattress might stretch a bit first time using. Found it to be true queen size. Cord/plug a little tricky to store back in the compartment within mattress. Does take some time to deflat. It folds easily and compact, but I'll have to figure out the configuration of exactly how to fold it to get it to fit into the bag once I get a replacement. I believe you'll need two people to get it in the bag. It's heavier than the thinner mattresses. So much nicer having the higher height, especially if you're going to sleep on it for more than one night. I think I went with the 22".
